Hidden Gem – The Velvet Underground and Dusty Springfield albums are high on the list of greatest albums of all-time. The Free album Tons of Sobs is a true hidden gem. Tons of Sobs is not very well known and certainly not in any kind of top album lists. I know Free mainly for their huge hit “All Right Now”. I hadn’t heard of this album before, and I’m guessing a lot of other people haven’t either. But check it out, it’s a great blues-rock album with some real groove and features the legendary singer Paul Rodgers.
Spooky Tooth – The Spooky Tooth Two album features the song “Better By You, Better than Me”. This song was later covered by the heavy metal legends Judas Priest on their 1978 classic Stained Class. The song would became well known in a famous court case. This will be discussed in a future Album Rewind post….
