Movie Scene: Mrs. Robinson by Simon & Garfunkel has been featured in a few movies and TV shows, but every time I hear the song I think of the scene from “Once Upon a time in Hollywood” with Brad Pitt’s character giving a nod and smile to one Charles Manson’s followers passing by on the street.

Jazz, Blues and SoulSince I began this blog I’ve discovered a lot of new artists, albums and songs. One thing that has surprised me a little bit is that on the albums I don’t know or know very little about, I tend to prefer jazz, blues and soul albums over rock, pop and folk. I come from more of a rock background, but the older I get I seem to be gravitating towards jazz, blues and soul artists.
